Seeking a Lab Manager / Research Technician! I am looking to hire an experienced researcher with lab bench skills in noninvasive genotyping and next-generation sequencing, as well as experience with population genetics data analyses and R statistical analyses. Check out the full job description here.
Graduate Students I am interested in hearing from motivated students interested in graduate studies. Send me an email with your specific interests, qualifications, and CV or resume.
Currently, I have an opening for a PhD student in population ecology of New England cottontails for Fall 2017. This student will conduct research related to a monitoring program for cottontail metapopulations, including modeling occupancy, extinction/recolonization dynamics, and spatially explicit mark-recapture abundance estimation from noninvasive genetic sampling. You can read the position description here.
Undergraduate Students There are often research opportunities in the lab and sometimes the field for enthusiastic, organized, and hard-working undergraduates! These opportunities may be for credit (INCO 590 or 790), independent study, capstone or honors thesis research. Occasionally paid opportunities exist, especially for work study students. If you are interested in research, I encourage you to check out the UNH Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program website, and to consider a future application for a URA or SURF award.
